Taeshik rlly is rotten down to the core and as usual Jinwoo taught him his place and man does he deserve it yikes. Respect Song for covering Jinwoo's hidden stats and all.

I guess it's only normal statistic that somebody like him will show up even on the Hunter Association. Good riddance but some of the shit he was spouting was sort of true including quoting Nietzsche.

Wait, he doesn't know about the system, and he's B-Rank. False rankers and second awakening aside, nobody else is playing (and still leveling up) like our dude!

Jinchul probably knows/suspect as much but he let them have their story in his report instead.
You see there's no need to wonder where your god is,
Coz he's right here! ...and he's fresh out of mercy.

Kang Taeshik's fate happened because he couldn't control his bloodlust. Also because he couldn't handle when Jinwoo sent some of his own murderous intent at him!

Well, well, well, of course this dungeon didn’t go as planned. When has that ever happened? Every time, Jinwoo has to do something to save his allies and protect his own life.

I understand why Taeshik Kang killed the prisoners, but why Kim and Kang? He could have easily convinced them not to talk without instantly killing them, and Kim has a family to take care of. Damn…

I’m not surprised that Jinwoo was able to clap Kang’s cheeks, and it seems that he kept his instant recovery from the day’s training. From what I gathered in a previous episode, those don’t stack. In other words, they have to be used on that given day.

We now know where Jinwoo’s skills stack up. He himself admitted that he can’t take on an A Rank Hunter like Jinchul Woo. He needs to get a lot stronger to go into the Demon’s Castle, since that difficulty is a question mark. I’m glad that Chiyul is willing to keep Jinwoo’s power a secret.

I’m excited to see what happens next!

What an episode!

Jinwoo has been getting himself caught up in these unexpected situations from episode 1. Constantly having to be there for others and save the day. It’s ironic that this raid are the same people that left him behind to die, but here he is, saving them yet again.

I wasn’t expecting spike hair to be such a villain. To kill the innocent ones just to cover things up and have fun. Twisted. We can see just how strong Jin became because he handled him with ease

It seems like he can’t keep up this secret much longer. He got lucky this time

Damn, they really fucked up Kim Sang-Shik's death. Sums up why I've felt like this adaptation has fallen extremely flat, they're just skipping all of the side character's stories and monologues. Kim's monologue in the Manhwa along with the paneling was brilliant, like eight whole pages of monologue and they just cut it all for a 10 frame shot. Embarrassing. This show is quickly going the same way God of Highschool was treated.

It sucks that other survivors got killed. At least he got to apologise at the end. RIP.

The fight was cool stuff. It's also interesting to know exactly where Jinwoo is currently in terms of ranks.

Jin-Woo's fight against Taeshik is the first human vs human battle in which he's equal, STRICTLY in the close-quarters dagger combat. Of course, Jin-Woo has his abilities and full regeneration buffs that make killing him doable. The fight itself was rather decent but the way he died was sooo anticlimactic, I thought there would be a huge impact frame or something, looks like I hoped a bit too much.

The most important takeaway in this ep is Jin-Woo's gradually fading emotions, as he grew ever stronger, his feeble human emotions began to fade into the darkness.

Yeah i'll give them that, the Overseer being a ruthless killer regardless of the involvement of money was a wild turn of events that i didn't see.

Honestly before knowing the Overseer was the way he was, i was about to argue that he 100% could of just said to the two bystander hunters that saw him killing the convicts that "The convicts all tried to attack me with reasonable enough force that dictates me being able to execute them as is." and gotten away with it, but then the twist happened and I thought "yeah didn't want to kill the other 2 guys regardless, probably wanted to kill the entire party".

Jin-Woo putting a swift end to him, gets the dudes "stealth rune" from him and saves the survivors. I guess what was interesting was the foreshadowing of the System on Jin-Woo when he's killing humans. He seems to get a special buff exclusive to when the system deems the other human a necessity to kill, and some "part" of him gets taken? The Overseers last words about Jin-Woo's bloodlust and gazing into the abyss, combined with Jin-Woo's own monologue was pretty good at conveying how some dark and crazy shit is going to happen to him if he continues to murder humans.

I think A-1 did justice to the speed fight animation in this episode. I liked how they paid attention to animating angles and movement in how MC was looking around as the overseer was zipping around him.

- Ah, so the guy wanted his daughters killer dead.
- Man, I kinda liked the guy with the purple hair. Too bad he’s an asshole
- JinWoo completely destroyed him to no one’s surprise. I guess a few people know his secret now

That was actually way less interesting than I thought it would be. It wasn't too far off from the previous betrayal, just this time it involved somebody who was an authority figure (though apparently not trusted by the authorities and quickly denounced). I'm still not super into the political paranoia. Seems like next episode is a date? If it boosts something outside of just the main character and his paranoid edgy power game, I'd like that. I didn't even hate this episode, but it wasn't that interesting either. I don't really get the Nietzchean aspect of this all either: Jinwoo has acted in self-defense every time.

As always episodes with fight scenes are absolute masterpieces, perfectly animated. I also love how the auras are portrayed, it has a certain feel to it, especially that killer aura thing with the waves when he activated his killer instinct, beautiful stuff. The highlight of the episode to me is that monologue the B-rank hunter had after losing the fight: "I see a shadow that stretches into some nasty places, so I guess your power will grow as much as those places are dark." or something like this, awesome writing.

Well, seeing Jinwoo fight with that assassin Kang guy shows that he's able to keep up with B-rank hunters, although it didn't look too easy.
Joohee was able to heal a bit so maybe she is overcoming that trauma bit by bit.

This E-Rank is like a death magnet. So based on his words, he is NOT A-Rank yet, since he believes would be destroyed by another A-Rank, so I'll keep saying B/A rank.
So far only others bloodlust against humans appears to activate the homicide quests. This is good. It was D-Rank boss, so didn't even bother showing us.

THANK YOU, he owes you a date, like DAMN
4/5, was not expecting association guy to be a serial killer also. Dude got whooped by someone he confirmed to be 1/7th mana of lower end of E-Rank LOL

This is getting dark quick. Jinwoo really is becoming a soulless murderhobo. The stronger he becomes, the less human he becomes. I an super pumped to see how they continue to write his downward spiral into an emotionless killer.

The battle between Taeshik and Jinwoo was just pure awesomeness. The sheer brutality in Jinwoo's eyes was something to behold.

I don't really have much else to say about this episode other than the fact that I really enjoyed it and I can't wait to see how Jinwoo handles the challenges ahead.

On to episode 10.

The incharge, Kang Taeshik, killed the convicts, because a grieving father asked him to avenge his daughter. But that’s just an excuse, as he loves killing humans over monsters. A true psychopathic murderer.

That psycho dared to use killing intent, and the system detected it. What a fool. Jin Woo got another reward. He went to defeat the boss alone.

The three of them met the Surveillance Team Manager and were left free, marking the killing of Kang Taeshik as self defence.

No surprise that Kang was no good. Jinwoo was so badass in this episode and his fight with kang definitely stole the show. Even Kang was impressed but ultimately he was outsmarted and outmatched by Jinwoo. I like how Chi-Yul was the only one who was observing Jinwoo and yes he indeed has changed and is no longer than kid he once knew.

This Kang guy was pretty scummy. Killing the rapists to fulfill his bloodlust/just for fun was aight and pretty noble too but torturing Kim and the other dude was just unnecessary. Megumi looking ass bozo.

I love Sung's glowing eyes and his cold demeanor when he fully starts getting into a fight. He definitely changed after killing those C rank hunters.

Manager Woo seems to be a normal and ethical hunter and thankfully wasn't someone messed up like Kang.

Ayee my boy Sung and Joohee are going on a date I assume??

In this show's obsession with making Sung Jin-Woo look like Chuck Norris, they forgot to actually have good writing. WHY ARENT THEY BOTH GANGING UP ON B-RANK GUY TO KILL HIM STRAIGHT UP. WHY IS B-RANK GUY SO IDIOTIC. WHY IS SUNG JIN WOO JUST WATCHING, BRO HELP THE OLD DUDE HES GETTING WRECKED!!!! This is so frustrating, plus, Sung Jin-Woo should have no bother anymore with killing people, considering he has like 8 human kills under his belt, and this B-rank guy should be absolutely no match considering how much they have powerscaled Sung Jin-Woo. This fight has a bland choreography because A-1 Pictures. We learn nothing too, we already know that the Hunters Association is a classist organization that is deeply rotten. Deaths are so anticlimactic on this show, still remember the fucking colossal dog dying from like his eye getting stabbed and thats about it. OH NOOO HIS KNEES WERE SLASHED... anyways, full recovery. Wow that's a way to ANNIHILATE any stakes. Aaaand that's another anti climactic fight and death.

Why is this assassin guy suddenly having standards for his order on killing people? He hesitates on killing the old man and the healer who are easy prey, its a straight-up contradiction to his character and archetype.

Terrible.

The Nietzsche quote is the cherry on top lol. The pseudophilosophic identity junk this anime is trying to shoehorn now is not effective, considering how vapid the rest of the content is, it strikes as pretentious.
