@@Kolehmaine Jokes aside, they already are. Like Hungary and unlike Finland they quite sensibly have been in NATO about as long as it has been possible for them after the collapse of the Soviet Union and the associated dissolution of Soviet foreign commitments.
Finland was the last Finno-Ugric country in this club and ironically Hungary was about to make the joining process something of an ordeal. Fortunately they relented after a while, however. I got the impression that foreign political interests other than their own were involved in this. In the end of the day they kept true to their words and were not indeed the last country to ratify Finlands membership, which I can appreciate.
Estonia on the other hand was rather more welcoming. It was among the first countries to accept Finland into NATO.

On a more serious note, the first phase of Finnish offensive operations had the Olonets Isthmus as its main emphasis. Reconquest of Karelian Isthmus was to follow shortly. Can't fight everywhere at once when your side doesn't have infinite men and resources like the USSR did, even though the German invasion significantly evened out the odds.
I love the unique history that is attached to this song. Being played on repeat for months on Soviet radio operated mine channels to jam them so they can be defused and uprooted. Absolutely bad@ss.

Ukraine became Bolshevik because many Ukrainians were communists and fought against Skoropadsky, Petlura, Makhno and many others.
So Ukraine becoming Moscow’s Puppet is a also their own fault.
Obviously that major part of them didn’t volunteer, because Red Army had mandatory service, but a good part of the General Staff during the war, and a good percent of the army were from Ukrainian SSR, and they had a very powerful propaganda boost to fight Finland.
No one likes War, but during USSR they didn’t care, because they were full filling their duty, also because Soviets believed, that Finland was the aggressor, not them.
