Berserk (Manga) add (All reviews)

Preliminary (20/? chp)
We all know and love Berserk, but there's just one reason why I can't recommend this show to anyone.

The reason I don't recommend this manga, despite its popularity and widespread praise, is because of how it handles the topic of rape. While it's true that these plot points add weight to the story and attempt to portray real-world issues, the way they are depicted feels off. The victims are often shown in overly sexualized, "sexy" positions and appear unrealistically clean, which doesn't align with the gravity of the situation. To me, it feels like the manga is glorifying rape rather than treating it with the ...

That certainly was a way to spend time. The tldr is there's so much yuri out there. There's no reason to read a bunch of almost okay vignettes unless that's specifically your thing.

Plot: The longest story was six pages. This is more a collection of premises than anything else.

Art: Varies, as this is a collection of short stories. Having said that, nothing stood out.

Chemistry: If you like a bunch of premises, maybe you can get into the chemistry here. I didn't feel anything from any of the protagonists.

Skip this one. If you're going to read an anthology, I recommend finding individual authors who have ...

I fucking love this stupid manga.

I think it probably gets a lot of bad rep for having annoying characters but I think their annoyingness is cancelled out by how realistically the characters interact with each-other and the story progresses.

I don't like this super fan-servicy style of manga but this one has been a big exception for me because of how well the humour is written and how little the fan service moments detract from the comedy and meat of the story, which is a relatively simple, but still enjoyable romance between a girl and her childhood friend.

I particularly like the obligatory confession scene, because it ...

This manga has some very strong points (such as the urban survival elements, the interactions between some characters, or how it portrays the eccentricities of some of them), but it also has its fair share of flaws that seriously detract from its overall rating:

The first part (4-5 volumes) is quite slow because it spends a lot of time showing the normal everyday life of the protagonist before the outbreak (and he continues to act the same even after it starts...), and in the last part (last 4 volumes or so) it loses the essence of what the story was to become a simple battle ...

Re-read the whole series prior to watching the Anime.
People are too quick to judge nowadays, it's always better to read a work for yourself instead of jumping to conclusions in a mere 10 chapters

This non Isekai story of MC getting kicked from a hero party has a unique edge. While the MC himself is simply OP in everything else besides combat, the appeal lies with his simple personality. The kid wishes to help people while pursuing a successful job on his own. He meets a good colorful cast of people who give him confidence to embrace himself.

If anything, the reactions from the characters to his ...

When it comes to reading web novels (manhwa/manhua), I always lower my expectations with this medium with the notion of either the story would be generic and incoherent, the artstyle/visuals would be just soulless vectors colors filled in, the plot would be nonsensical, the details are shallow, or the dialogue would be shitty and overly-edgy. This is one of those many web novels where you could only enjoy this if you turned your brain off.

- The plot seemed good at first glance. It's your typical "zero to hero" and "game system" web novel centralized around this boy being bullied by gang members in a school ...

Hakutaku commits the cardinal sin of...just being an incredibly boring manga.

Hakutaku is about a team of incredibly young students making video games together. These students have varying levels of knowledge in making games to begin with, but somehow they manage to create games far beyond what they realistically should've been able to make with the time period and knowledge they were allotted in each circumstance. This is the first huge problem with Hakutaku: suspension of disbelief is extremely hard to pull off when your work is not entertaining. It's okay to do things that are unrealistic in a work, even in a more realistic setting, ...

This is a disgusting, disturbing, toxic yuri manga and isn't for someone who is suffering from an abusive relationship.
Although I loved it, I like how raw it is. This manga doesn't pull any punches and makes you feel a rollercoaster of emotions. It's short and sweet, good for something to quickly pick up, but it will stick with you (for better or worse lol)
I loved the ending; it was so good, and I felt that it was the perfect choice.
The art is good too, I love the style, and the anatomy looks great!
My only complaint is the B plot with Ichika Miyazano, it was ...

Another great managa by Manio, the managka behind Kitanai Kimi ga Ichiban Kawaii.
This manga follows two characters who embody different attachment styles: anxious, Nana Mutsurugi, and avoidant, Tsukasa. Aishita Bun dake Aishite Hoshii! is short and sweet. It doesn't drag on for too long and has a satisfying ending. I like how well the psychological aspect is handled, I find it to be pretty realistic.
It's not amazing, but it's very entertaining and fun.
The art is really nice too, you can tell that the mangaka has been drawing for a long time. I find that the style is cute too, and fits well with that ...

If you're gonna write a story involving such delicate topics, you 1) better make it short 2) make the art worth the experience, right? It did what it had to do - not without a serious blow to the rather good day I was having though. Everything that you're praying doesn't happen, happens. But everything that you wish would happen to the narrator, ALSO happens. Do with that what you will.

Things I Liked:
Lively Art Style
Clear and Appropriate Message
Great Balancing Act In Terms of Humor

Things I Disliked:
Chaotic and Somewhat Absurd Climax
Some REALLY Uncomfortable Scenes
Ultimately Irredeemable MC

Some good.

Some bad.

A lot of meh.

The characters range from fun to cringe annoying power fantasy.

Everytime something interesting finally comes up in the story, the author immediately shelves it for 30 chapters to go into a boring arc with nothing but pointless action, just to drip feed some information after, only to go back into another long arc that adds little to nothing to the story. It was creative and interesting at one point, but it feels like its just going through the motions with each passing fight. I think back to “early” dandadan and there was a clear purpose and vision. The characters ...

Yeah, it's a bafflingly terrible ending, but I don't think the rest was perfect either.

I'm glad the many manga I started following in my love-starved times are ending. It began with the normal guy, being coupled with somebody excessively opposite to them. The trope, of course. Awesome, wholesome, interesting, coming from the development of cosplay and what it entails. How our hobbies define us in front of the people around us. The crunch, balancing life with hobbies, and how jealousy comes from limelights you participated in, but can't prove you did without self-imposed selfishness. It started to become mature, true to life, and ...

The reason why I'm making this review is because I love this manga and I don't want people to go through what I did, so read this attentively.

First, I would like to say that this manga is not for "anime-manga nerds" only. I know plenty of people who like football and/or play football (and I don't mean with their friends, I mean fr), who like this manga, as much as people who don't. I think the issue is that many people took what Ego said too literally and weren't bothered to see how what the manga would progress, so they missed out on what the ...

Ano Yoru no Pool (lit. The Pool That Night) is a beautifully profound story of human connection and adolescence, packing so much care and meaning into a short chapter.

It follows two teenage boys who attend high school together—one popular, one not—who bond with each other over the fact that they're both outsiders. Koizumi is bullied by his classmates for being awkward and frail, but despite this, he forms a connection with the popular Hayato, who is something of an outcast within his own friend group due to his disinterest in romance and relationships (which, as I'm sure anyone who once attended high school will remember, ...

I don't get it. I don't get the hype. It has a bland story. Almost no romance. No comedy.

A little more about it. The story is meh, at best. I'm not saying you can't enjoy it, I'm saying it is meh. Bland. There is something that seems like the start of some plot elements, but in the end its light, bland, meh. Some forced drama, but still light.
Next, no romance. Some cutely scenes, but thats it. You can't say that makes it a romance. Imagine a 2-hours war movie with 5 minutes of some people hugging and calling it a romance. Yes, the ...

This series is incredible—it’s packed with mystery in every loop, constantly keeping you on edge. Early on, it’s revealed that the main character can loop back in time through death, similar to Subaru from Re:Zero. The emotional intensity reminds me of the first two arcs of Re:Zero, where you're never quite sure who to trust or what’s really going on.

Even with the ability to rewind time, there’s never a sense of comfort. You can’t predict how things will unfold, and that unpredictability is what hooks you. Just like in Re:Zero's early arcs, things slowly start to make sense—until a sudden twist resets everything, sending us ...

This is going to be a shorter review on this one! At the time of this review, there are currently 30 chapters of the manga. It's something that could life up your mood! The comedy is funny and relatable, it focuses on four male leads that are clumsy in their own way (basically being clumsy and playing it cool).

The chapters aren't too long and I think that's better since there aren't any clear storyline nor any drama happening.

The plot is just really simple to follow! Just a simple slice-of-life of four goofy guys going about their days being clumsy ( ≧∀≦)ノ

Manga about two female midgets (or as i first called them - wingless forest fairies) and their life and andvetures... When I started to read the manga, I was amazed from how detailed is the art. In the beginning the art was more cute than the latest chapters. Most noticeable change has Hakumei, back then Hakumei had a weird cute face and doesn't have many emotions, but with every next chapter her face bacome more emotional. I also was amazed from the fact almost every background character have a different desing from each other. It's rare to see that.

Day 28/30 of the Yurithon:
"Go down swinging" indeed, Yurithon. And swinging hard as well. "How Do We Relationship?" was a pretty great read, with a twist in the basic yuri formula, but fantastic execution. This yuri had the relationship pretty much begin by the end of chapter one, and it didn't feel rushed or convoluted. As the author themselves stated, it was a good change of pace to see how a couple navigates their relationship, rather than just try to find their way to it. This is probably the most realistic relationship depicted in any of the yuri I've read. There's always a new issue ...

The Marshal King is a fresh, still-early series that doesn’t try to overcomplicate itself and ends up being better for it. It’s got a pretty straightforward premise, something that doesn’t try to be deep or overly ambitious, but instead leans into the fun of the journey and the energy of its world. And honestly, that works. It’s not the kind of manga that’s setting itself up to be some multi-layered epic, but it never really needs to be.

The main character is overpowered, and that trope, when done right, can carry a series with pure charisma and hype, and so far, this one gets it. ...

The idea of the story is good. The concept of a reincarnated protagonist into the mob character of his own story and using his author knowledge to survive, had me interested —but unfortunately, the way its delivered is dissapointing.

While the mc actually has good and genuine character growth and not just a typical overpowered protagonist. The story and characters, especially the relationships are so rushed, the art is okay.

I actually like the idea behind the ending, it had potential but then again, it felt way too rushed. Overall, the manga had a great premise and a decent mc. It just didn't stick the landing. It's ...

Its a chill manga to read, its a slow burn isekai in a quiet and peaceful world building with an op mc. The mc is more introspective and prefers avoiding conflict than being a hero. But the adventure is still there, his journey feels more like self discovery than domination.

Overall its nice, the characters have distinct personalities and the relationships are built meaningfully and not just harem or forced drama, the art is clean and fits the story. If you're into a chill and cozy slice of life, this is a solid pick. Especially with its low stress pacing and a character whod rather fish ...

I really loved this manga (or would it be considered a webtoon/webcomic? I don't know lol). Anyways, this is the first and only webtoon or manga that I've read to completion. The story was definitely without a doubt an enjoyable ride to read through, to say the least.

The thing I was honestly the most captivated by was the art in this series, it was honestly gorgeous. Probably the most beautifully illustrated manga/webtoon I've ever seen. I especially enjoyed seeing all of the various beautiful dresses Athanasia would wear throughout the story. You could really tell that the artist for the series put a lot ...

It's completed at 49 chapters huh
This manga has been releasing so randomly and odd to where I have forgotten it's story every single time

While the art and ecchi factor is..barely acceptable, there really is no story at all. Across the dozens of chapters, minimal character development is left to rot by itself as there is no proper setting for growth. I mean I get there was a competition to become the Demon King, yet there was barely any focus on the main plot itself. You just get random events and miniature battles and conflicts which are very forgettable by all means.

This is a really funny and entertaining manhwa to read, There Are No Bad Heroes in This World does a refreshing twist on the isekai reincarnation fantasy type of story.

Instead of the usual overpowered protagonist on his heroic journey to defeat the demon lord, the MC finds himself enslaved by demons and instead of choosing to escape he chooses to rise through the demon ranks.

The engaging plot, character development and the humor derived from his unconventional circumstances makes it a fun manhwa to read, the art is also good along with its expressive character designs. If you're looking for an isekai that has comedy ...

Ultimate Shut-in does a different approach to the typical apocalypse survival story by confining its MC indoors, instead of going out to fight monsters and go on an adventure. It is pretty much a mix of tower defense strategy and kingdom building type of manhwa.

It's an entertaining manhwa to read, the pacing and growth of the MC is good. The characters and their relationships are solid, as they have their own part of the story that genuinely makes you want to protect. The art is clean and easy to follow.

This manga follows the typical routine of:

Regular bro is just normal as anyone, he randomly gets involved with the class beauty. It turns out they met at childhood age with rekindling passions or something. Lots of common cliches but it's good to see the series isn't totally reliant on them?

It must be mentioned the story is very similar to Danjo no Yuujou the manga as the MC and main girl love began by flowers.
At least in this version, there are no mischevious characters of any kind. Each person has their own unique personality.
Plus to add, the main character is a decent person who is just ...

Dark Sci-Fi with an alien-eating cult at the helm. I'm sold.

MAD is the definition of "A picture is worth a thousand words" and that is evedant in the exposition. MAD rarely explains the logistics behind the alien invasion that's taken place in this world, but what little it does reveal is done seemlessly through character interactions. It also shows subtle hints and portray the grim details of humanity on the brink of extintion, that includes the despiration that leads the remaining survivors to do whatever it takes to live.

That's a non-spoiler description of what you can expect from MAD. To get more into the ...

Eager to still experience her first adventure, Jio, a young girl from a small village, seeks to go on an adventure in an already discovered world. Together with her new friend, Neraid, a dragonfolk who has just lost all his memories, they set out in pursuit of their dreams.

26 translated chapters out as of 4/16/25, with I think around 30-40 untranslated chapters. I'll try not to spoil because it is genuinely great and a really fun read. I can't think of many flaws in the story, it's as if everything has already been planned out to keep everything consistent, and if it was, MASSIVE PLUS. I love when they do that, it usually means that the author is very passionate about their story.

I finished Oyasumi Punpun today and I can say without a doubt that it's a 10/10 manga. It took me about a week start to finish just because I couldn't put it down. The writing is incredible and very often did it elicit strong feelings out of me.

I'm pretty harsh when I rate things, even some of my favourite things are only a 9/10 because in order to be a 10 something has to change my perspective in life. I can confidently say that Oyasumi Punpun has done just that.

Highly, highly recommend reading, especially if you're neurodivergent or have personality/dissociative issues.

The God of High School – Webtoon Review
From First Anime to Final Chapter: A Full-Circle Experience

Years ago, The God of High School was the very first anime I ever watched. It introduced me to the world of anime with its high-octane fights, insane powers, and iconic soundtrack. That anime left an impression—even though I barely remembered the details years later, the name always stuck with me.

At the start of this year, I remembered it again and decided to finally dive into the full story—the original God of High School webtoon. And what a ride it’s been.

It's honestly hilarious how a hentai has better romance than all but like 3 romance anime/manga I've seen. Jorori is an incredible artist, and everything feels so pure. I genuinely wish these could become a full-on story, with the spicy bits being the climax of each one's relationships.

Akane and Icchan's relationship was my favorite. It was just heartwarming and Icchan was a tsundere done right (albeit male) (chitoge please take notes your character is dogshit)

Genius Prismatic Mage is a dark fantasy manhwa with a side of psychological depth, It's a story about trauma, survival and the price of power.

The magic system is quite unique, each color is tied into emotion that in a way feels meaningful to the story. The MC is emotionally detached, but not by choice, but because of what he's been through. His ability to perceive into magic, he starts to rediscover his feelings and connections with people.

(repost since this is more general for the manga)

While The 100 Girlfriends is often praised for being a parody of the harem genre, I personally found it to be an incredibly overrated series that leans far too heavily on the very tropes it’s supposedly satirizing. The premise alone—a guy is fated to fall in love with 100 girls or they'll die—is absurd, and while that could’ve led to some clever meta-humor or commentary on the genre, the execution falls flat. It ends up feeling more like a flashy gimmick designed to get attention rather than a meaningful twist on romcom or harem conventions.

At first I thought it was just going to be another "follow your dream" story where the main character has an unyielding ambition, but then the story took a turn and the main character suddenly starts questioning everything he once held as truth. It is pretty much a journey about his self discovery and what his ideals truly are.

Beautiful purifying manga...

Every once in a while, it's nice to read the kind of manga that purifies your heart—especially after something heavy or overly shonen. And this is it!

Bound by duty and separated by status, they were never truly able to be together in their past lives. Planetes is the kind of manga that completely consumes your mind with how quietly powerful and emotionally layered it is. Right from the start, it introduces characters that feel real and human, people shaped by space and life rather than plot, and as the story unfolds, that sense of authenticity only grows stronger. Every chapter feels massive, like an entire volume packed into one, yet nothing ever feels rushed. The pacing is deliberate and poetic, taking time to explore both grand philosophical ideas and quiet, personal moments with equal weight. I happened to read a web novel, and well... If you're horny even ugliest chick looks good. That's what I will say but that's it.

Gachiakuta instantly grabbed me with a chaotic mix of wild energy, creative worldbuilding, and a protagonist I connected with right away. The premise is unique and refreshing, and from the very beginning the series never slows down, always pushing forward with something new and exciting. The art is hard to describe — it’s raw and messy in a way that almost feels wrong at first glance, yet the more I read, the more it felt perfect for the world it was creating. That duality makes it stand out visually more than most modern manga, and combined with its inventive designs and gritty atmosphere, it completely ...

It started out quite well and the characters are quite fun to follow but the overall snails pace the story and character development goes at and the repetitive fights get more and more boring as it goes on. Had plenty of potential but it just seems the writers can't think of a story to follow so they just pump out fights against the same characters wearing a different face and clothes.

I’ve read a lot of Isekai and fantasy stories, and this one stood out—but not in a good way. The plot felt all over the place. I get that it’s erotica, and often these types of stories focus more on the adult content than the narrative, but even by those standards, it was pretty messy.

That said, there are a couple of upsides. The art style has definitely improved since the last time I read it, which was a nice surprise. Also, it seems like the story is starting to make sense but I don’t know where the story is heading. It’s still erotic and well ...
