My husband and I are going to live in Puerto Vallarta one day. I’m going to go first and stay for a few months for the next couple of years until he retires. I’m so thankful we visited Puerto Vallarta in 2018 because we fell in love with the people and their culture , the town itself especially Zona Romantica , the Bay of Banderas, the beautiful skies in the day and the sunsets in the evening. We also fell in love with the delicious food and drinks local to Puerto Vallarta. ❤ the bay and especially the food and beautiful skies and sunsets. ❤

I’m a Brit in the UK ( but not for much longer) and believe me, you do not want to come and live here. Cost of living is sky high as are property prices both buying and renting. I won’t go on about crime, lack of medical care etc. but seriously, the UK is not a good idea if you want a peaceful and safe retirement. 🤷♀️
Yes, in this area, and with a 4 bedroom house, my share is $6000, but myp revious two bedroom, a bit further from the central area, was $6500. I would have stayed there if the problem with the wet walls could have been fixed. There are so many different price points, depending on location and neighborhood. Great video. Thanks for introducing us to Barbro. Curious what the total rent for her whole space is, not just her portion. Also how did she go about buying her furniture. I know , I know, there're all types of stores and shops , but what was her experience. Thanks!!!
Most houses like this are unfurnished and around $16000 more or less in this area, I think, maybe even higher. I bought some furniture in department stores on sale just like I would in Canada, other through stores that display sample furniture where you choose what you want and have it shipped. Some is also second hand, and the table and two chairs not shown were bought unfishished and then painted. None of my furniture is "fine" furniture, but it does for me.

I think many people these days are citizens of the world. All my neighbors come from overseas and with flights these days everything is so fast to get to your home country so WHY NOT? My biggest tip is to always have a smile on your face and be polite about the country U R living in or touring. I once bumped into a different group of travellers from my country in and they whined and whined.......I thought the country was fabulous and I got treated well by the locals because I appeciated their country. Just don't travel from U.S. or Canada to another country and then whine about their customs. It's better to travel in your own country in that case. E.G. Chinese smoke a lot any it is cheap there. I have seen locals from my country telling Chinese to put their cigarettes out. Their country = their rules and customs.
There are laws here that prohibit smoking indoors...though not in some establishments from what I understand. We have been fortunate that most smokers are not renting in our areas. That being said, I would say there are several "Smoke-free options". You just have to look before you commit to renting a place. Thanks for watching and commenting. Have a great day!

You look great! I wish you lasting good health.
Thank you for those good wishes.
I have never lived out of the USA 🇺🇸
We love living here! Thanks for watching and commenting. Are you subscribed to our channel so you can see more about living here in Mexico?
Are there any smoke-free options that you’re aware of in Mexico?
There are laws here that prohibit smoking indoors...though not in some establishments from what I understand. We have been fortunate that most smokers are not renting in our areas. That being said, I would say there are several "Smoke-free options". You just have to look before you commit to renting a place. Thanks for watching and commenting. Have a great day!
Single lady or not,I value my privacy, so could not live like this lady no way. 😢😢

You can only get a 6 months visa in Mexico as far as I understand
Yes, as a tourist, but there are Permanent and Temporary Resident Visas one can potentially qualify for that allow you to stay indefinitely. We have a video here on our channel detailing that process. Thanks for watching and commenting.

Cute place,so nice for your budget! However the price of your merch is way tooogh, Iknow you need to supplement your income but those prices are way too high! $. Good luck though 🤞
I totally agree with you! We're always looking for ways to make our merch more affordable! It’s a learning process for sure. I think it’s the company doing the orders that charges so much. I’m going to try and find a different store front. Thanks for the reminder! And thanks for watching and commenting ❤
Does she have additional source of income besides social security? How old was she when she moved there? Are there similar places that are smaller for one person under $500 a month ? And lastly, health insurance?
We will be covering these topics in future videos...we have one with an apartment tour for $500 usd already on our channel. Thanks for watching and commenting.
